Rockwood Cottage Lamb is yet another specialized meat product from Inglewood Aged Beef. Rockwood Cottage Lamb is produced from selected lambs, hand picked for size and fat content weighing approximately 18 kgs carcass weight. They are then grown out to around 26 kgs carcass weight. This produces a larger eye on the rack of lamb which is much sort after by restaurants.
The lambs are drafted into designated paddocks where they are grass fed and have access to native herbs. They are also topped up with lucerne hay. This enhances the the flavour and texture of the meat as depicted by Restaurant Reviewer Stephen Downes.
The pastures that house these select lambs are not sprayed with any from of chemicals, but the lambs are drenched for animal health and protection.
